Introduction

This privacy policy covers the information relating to you that BrowserStack or its affiliates may collect, use, share, and process when you use the Requestly software and services, including the Requestly websites, including but not limited to requestlyio,
app.requestly.iodocs.requestly.io and community requestly.io (the “Services”), contact us, or otherwise interact with us, unless a different policy is displayed. Our affiliates are:

BrowserStack Inc. in the United States.
BrowserStack Limited in Ireland.
BrowserStack Software Pvt. Ltd. in India.
Perceptual, Inc. in the United States.

This policy also explains your choices about how we use information about you which include how you can object to certain uses of information about you and how you can access and update certain information about you. We only collect and use personal information that is necessary for providing Service and where we have a lawful basis to do so. If you do not agree with this policy, do not access or use our Services or interact with any other aspect of our business. The location of BrowserStack’s main establishment in the European Union is Ireland and therefore we consider our lead supervisory authority, for purposes of “one-stop shop” oversight over our cross-border data processing, to be the Irish Data Protection Commissioner (“DPC”).

Data we collect

We collect certain Personal Information when you use our websites; use our services; receive our marketing communications; interact with our customer service and support teams; and in other contexts. The term “Personal Information” means any information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to an identified or identifiable living natural person, including but not limited to: (i) Identifiers such as a real name, alias, postal address, unique personal identifier, online identifier Internet Protocol address, email address, account name, social security number, driver’s license number, government identification card number, passport number, or other similar identifiers; and (ii) information defined as “personal information”,”personally identifiable information”, “personal data” or similar expressions under applicable privacy laws or data security Laws, which include the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”).

The data we collect can be broadly categorized as follows:

Personal Data

This is individually identifiable data that you may choose to provide us. This may include basic information such as your email address and payment information.

User Data

This is data that we collect from users of our services. User data could include personal data such as your unique Requestly user ID or account username and password, but sometimes this user data is anonymous or “pscudonymous”, i.c., it could be made identifiable if associated with personal data.

Location Data​​

This is data we collect that help us determine a location based on your IP address in order to customize our Service and for other uses consistent with this Privacy Statement.
We may combine all data, including your personal information, that we collect from our websites for our own statistical and analytical purposes. We may also share this combined information with third parties for our own promotional purposes.
Here are the principal contexts in which we may use, retain and share your personal and user data:
  1. Websites and Account Management: You may browse our websites without providing any personal data to us. However, if you choose to create a user account with Requestly, avail our subscription plans, sign up for marketing communications, or interact with our customer service teams or participate in a forum on our website, we will likely need to collect some personal or user data from you. In addition, certain tools that we use automatically collect data by default, such as IP addresses and other activity logs. This type of data is used for website security and site improvement purposes. Much of that data is not readily identifiable and is usually kept anonymous..
  2. Sales: If you decide to purchase a service from Requestly, we will need to collect certain personal data from you, including payment-related information.
  3. Marketing & Product updates: you may reccive our monthly product update email and new feature announcements, we don’t indulge in extensive marketing but you can unsubscribe from our update emails.
  4. Product Registration: If you use Requestly services, you may choose to establish an Requestly user account. An Requestly user account profile may include your username, password, settings, preferences, contact information, device ID information, and related data.
  5. User Experience: We may collect your information to monitor and improve the performance of our products and services for administrative and security purposes and for our own internal functions, research and analytics and to provide you with better customer support.

    International Transfer of Data

    In order to meet adequacy and security requirements for Customers who operate in the European Union and the United Kingdom, for using Requestly Services, BrowserStack offers European Union Model Clauses,  also know as Standard Contractual clauses.     Individual Rights within EEA

    You may have rights to access, update, rectify, port or erase, restrict or object use of certain personal information that we have about You. To submit a request to exercise your rights to delete or access your personal information, please fill up the Data Request Form select the appropriate request type(s). We may request specific information from you to help us confirm your identity and process your request.

    Amendments to this Privacy Policy.

    Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time and at BrowserStack’s sole discretion. The date of the most recent revisions will appear on this page. If you do not agree to these changes, please do not continue to use the service to submit Personal Information to us. If material changes are made to the Privacy Policy, we will notify you by placing a prominent notice on our website or by sending you a notification in relation to this. We will not process Personal Information in a manner not contemplated by this Privacy Policy without your consent.

    Cookies Policy

    Cookies are small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer. Websites, including Requestly’s sites, use cookies to help remind us who you are when you visit our site; to help you navigate our site during your visits; and to save preferences and shopping cart contents for you so you will not have to re-enter them.

    Requestly may also use cookies to store and help track information about you. As required by applicable law, Requestly will acquire consent from you prior to using certain cookies during your Requestly website experience or will offer you the opportunity to choose which types of cookies to enable or disable.     Sharing your Data

    Requestly may share your personal information with the third-parties (Subprocessors) for the purposes that are described in this Privacy Policy or if otherwise consented. Depending on the exact nature of your account and what you’ve requested we do, your data may be shared with one of these Subprocessors.     Our service providers and partners are required by contract to safeguard any personal information they receive from us and are prohibited from using the personal information for any purpose other than to perform the services as instructed by Requestly.

    We may retain your personal data as long as any of the following circumstances apply:

    • Your Requestly account or subscription is active
    • To provide you with services or support that you have requested
    • To comply with applicable laws, including for tax and audit purposes
    • To enforce Requestly’s rights, including litigation and debt collection

    Requestly does not sell personal data. If Requestly did decide to sell personal data at any point, we would provide appropriate notice and consent mechanisms to individuals as required by applicable laws.
